Why You Should Find a Moldovan Bride
As the gallery above makes clear Moldova is a mecca for Slavic mail order brides.
Moldovan brides are some of the hottest and most friendly mail order brides anywhere.
But for almost everyone that leads to the next question, “Where in the world is Moldova?” And some of you guys believe that Moldova is simply a figment of our staff’s admittedly sometimes over active imagination.
But no, Moldova is a real country. OK, a real small country that 99% of Americans have never heard of and certainly don’t know as well as Russia and Ukraine.
Take a close look at the map of Eastern Europe below. Come on, look closely. There are some really hot women there.
Do you see it?
This mail order bride paradise is called Moldovia on this map and it is the brown region crammed in between Ukraine and Romania.
It is about the same size as Maryland. So, it is not a big country, but it is big enough to produce a bonanza of beautiful babes and really you only need just one.
Yes, you might think you need a harem of hundreds of gorgeous young women, but the reality for most men is very different.
Moldova is plenty big enough for you to find the love of your life.
The Culture Moldovan Women
Moldova is on the border between Central Europe and Eastern Europe and culturally it is a mix. As a border region it has been invade by everyone from Greeks, Romans, and Mongols to Turks, Tartars, and Poles.
This has meant life has not been easy for Moldovan women as far back as anyone can remember and it means that culturally the country is an interesting mishmash of traditions.
For centuries the area was seen as a part of Romania and the national language of Moldova is Romanian. So, for guys from France, Quebec, or other Francophone areas this is obviously a really good thing.
In fact, it is a good thing for anyone who ever took high school French. Even if you dropped out of high school this is good if you speak a Latin or Germanic language, because the language is easier to learn than the Slavic languages like Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian.
That means that it is pretty easy to learn enough of the language for flirting with the women.
And best of all, you do not have to learn the 33 or 37 letters of the Cyrillic alphabet to chat with a beautiful Moldovan girl. Slavic languages are tough, but they are made a lot tougher by the need to learn the Cyrillic alphabet.
Moldova follows the Greek Orthodox religious tradition, so there are lots of beautiful churches across the country. It is not an excessively religious country, but the church is still one of the primary social forces.
One of the best things about Moldova is that the traditional food is better than in most of Eastern Europe. In Russia, Ukraine, and even Poland you will eat a lot of beets, onions, and potatoes. It is OK, but it is simple peasant food. Olive Garden and your local Chinese buffet are not losing sleep about Slavic competitors.
Traditional Moldovan food is similar to other Eastern European cuisines, but incorporates a wider range of ingredients and spices. If you visit there are a few local specialties you must try.
In fact, specialties you will be forced to try if you go to meet your lady’s parents, and they are all tastier than what you would get from her family in Poland, Belarus, Russia, or Ukraine.
Zeama, is the national soup. It is sort of a spicy chicken soup and it is a big step up from borsht. Sarmale, cabbage leaves stuffed with spicy meat and rice is one of the staples and very similar to a lot of dishes across the Mediterranean world.
Placinta sort of a Moldovan burrito and they are available everywhere. The traditional bread is not the standard black peasant stock so common across Eastern Europe, but Mamaliga a soft sweet cornbread that is just different.
If none of that sounds great don’t worry. Like all of modern Eastern Europe the restaurants across the country tend to be excellent and recently Moldovan food has taken off with the foodies. There are both outstanding traditional Moldovan restaurants and also all of the standard international cuisines, so there is no lack of great places for dates.
But before you start dating these women you should know a little bit about the history of Moldova. It is a strange story and if you understand a little you will realize why Moldova is such a premier destination for international dating.
Conditions For Women Today
One key factor that drives everything in Moldova today is the country is incredibly poor. Since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1992 independent Moldova has been consistently ranked as the poorest or second poorest European country.
In the last couple of years, because of increased tourism and remittances from Moldovans who have left the country it has been doing slightly better than previously.
Recently, a report ranked it as slightly ahead of Ukraine naming Moldova as Europe’s second poorest country.
The total population of the country is under 4 million people, so it has about the same population as Alabama. And before that makes you click to another page then you have never been to an Iron Bowl when the sorority girls from Alabama and Auburn are looking their best.
So, there are tons of sexy Moldovan girls. But its a small population, out of the way location, and status as an country that 98% of Western men have never heard of are all key reasons why more Western guys should add Moldova to their list of international dating locations.
Moldova is simply too far off the beaten path for many guys to bother with.
You need to factor in that you’ll be in even higher demand as an educated traveler with a job because the majority of Moldovan men spend their free time drinking or getting high.
Almost regardless of your personal circumstances you’ll be more financially stable, have a better education and be more eligible than 95% of the men your average Moldovan girl has to endure.
The women here actually want to meet Western guys, but they won’t just hook up with the first guy that asks them out on a date.
What Do Moldovan Women Look Like?
They must put something in the water in this part of the world. Eastern European women seem to have this unique genetic trait where stunning looks are just something that goes along with the territory.
Most Moldovan women are a mixture of Russian and Latin; both Slavs and Latinas are renowned for their beauty, so the combination is a real winner.
The crazy thing is that women here are on a par with (if not slightly superior to) women from other Eastern European nations, including Lithuania and Estonia.
You can expect to encounter dozens of sultry, dark-haired women with long hair and high cheek bones. Yes, there are blondes here because of the Ukrainian influences, but they’re in the minority.
Moldovan women tend to be very slim, but with curves in the right places. This is a cultural thing as much as it is the result of not eating a fatty, junk food western diet.
There are just so many beautiful women in Moldova. With their Scandinavian roots you may find yourself surrounded by model quality women in ordinary shops.
Eastern European women have a reputation for being cold, or just not as warm as Western women. But there’s a flaw in this line of thinking.
Think about just how fake most European and North American women are. And we don’t just mean wearing layers of makeup, Botox, fillers and boob jobs.
Think about how willing they are to lie about literally every aspect of their lives to impress people.
So, would you rather meet a beautiful Moldovan woman who doesn’t tell you her life story on the first date, or some half-crazed European chick with a fake smile and daddy issues?
What will surprise you is how friendly Moldovan women are from the outset, despite any rumors you heard or read online.
Bear in mind that your Moldovan date might be slightly suspicious of foreign guys at first. They know what sex tourism is, and they have no interest in being just another “notch” for some random Western dude.
So, don’t be surprised if she asks you why you traveled so far to meet a woman.
Moldovan people are known for being very hospitable and you will find most Moldovan girls are very sweet; they are renowned for being great wives who take care of their husbands. They prepare delicious cuisine and are quite traditional.
You will be able to enjoy long and delicious meals from your Moldovan wife if you decide to marry one. She will also take great care of the household and your children (should you have any) with love and diligence.
If you’re a wine lover it’s also a plus because Moldovan people have a huge wine culture and many families in Moldova make their own wine. So if you enjoy good wine, a Moldovan wife would share that passion with you.
If you love smart women then you’re going to enjoy going on dates here. It’s actually difficult to find an uneducated woman here.
What Do Moldovan Women Look For In A Man?
They prefer strong and assertive men who are happy to take the lead in the relationship. Again, this comes down to the culture she was raised in, but it’s also natural for normal women to prefer Alpha males.
After all, what type of man does a woman want around if the wolves were quite literally at the door? Some soy-sipping noodle of a man who’s afraid of his own shadow, or a guy who can fight off the wolves and keep his family safe?
We all know the answer to that. The ironic thing is so do most Western women.
In Europe and North America alpha males are being called “toxic”, whereas Moldovan women are wondering where to meet one.
Beautiful Moldovan Women and Foreign Men
Due to the culture of Moldova, many Moldovan women want to find a man from abroad. They are looking for someone who will be kinder to them and give them a better life.
The combination of alcoholism and a traditional culture in Moldova has led to a lot of domestic abuse against women. Due to this, a lot of women are looking to escape the cycle of abuse by finding a foreign husband.
Today Moldova is the poorest nations in Europe and it has one of the highest percentages of net migration leaving the country of any place in the world. So, there are a lot of beautiful Moldovan mail order brides who would love the chance to move to a country with better opportunities.
What’s The Dating Culture in Moldova?
Eastern European girls don’t like their guys talking about ex girlfriends (or wives) for any reason. They don’t see any reason why you’d want to do that, especially if you’re being critical of your ex.
After all, what does it tell her about you? How does she know you won’t say the same things about her when she’s not around?
You need to avoid local marriage or dating agencies as if they were a large rat covered in plague-riddled fleas. 99% of them are scams, with the singular mission of emptying your bank account as quickly as they can.
You’ll actually be surprised at the level of English spoken here by younger women – not tourist stuff, but whole grammatically correct sentences.
Moldova is a 99% Christian country, so both women and their families prefer to meet Christian guys, or at least guys who don’t want to mock their religion.
An age gap of anywhere up to 15 years is seen as acceptable, but you might struggle beyond that.
Moldova is incredibly poor and a girl does not have to be a calculating gold digger to realize that for her, and more importantly, her children is likely to be much better if she marries a nice foreign man.
5 Facts About Moldovan Women
- Moldovan women are stunning…but nobody knows about them
- Most of them speak 2 – 3 foreign languages
- Smiling at strangers isn’t a thing, so don’t get weirded out
- They’re always late for dates
- She will most likely go to Church at least once a week
Moldovan Women – The Best Mail Order Brides
OK, that is pretty high praise. Are Moldovan’s really the best mail order brides?
Well, there are stunning girls all over the world and there are some real good points in favor of brides from Asia and Latin America. But Moldova is in an extremely odd situation.
First, it is still the Golden Age of International dating in Moldova. If you talk to people like John Adams, the president of A Foreign Affair, who were around for the beginning of the modern mail order bride movement in the early 1990s nothing compares to stories from that period.
They talk about Western men being mobbed by super models in Saint Petersburg and Moscow and tell other almost hard to believe stories.
In Moldova that is pretty much still the case. Moldova is so far off the beaten path and so hard to get to that any Western man who goes to the trouble of getting there is going to be treated like a near rock star.
Recently, an American with relatives in Moldova said he had twenty or thirty stunning women propose to him on his first visit to see his grandma. He said it was so shocking he said no to all of them, but he is going back – soon.
So, if you go to Moldova you will be the center of attention for every single woman you meet.
And there actually are a lot of single women, because many of Moldovan men have immigrated looking for work. Many have gone to the European Union, some to Ukraine, or Russia and others to the United State or Canada.
Of course, most of these men are illegal immigrants, so that makes it tough for them to bring wives or girlfriends to their new homes or for them to return for a visit.
So, this is a country where there is not just a shortage of men, several countries including Russia and Ukraine, have that issue. This is a country with a shortage of marriageable man.
But that is just one of the reasons Moldova is a modern day Shangri–La for any man hoping to marry a woman who is really out of his league.
Meet Your Potential Moldovan Bride in Her Homeland
When you do find a Moldovan girl that you like you may want to travel to Moldova to see her in person.
Because the country is so poor it is not too expensive to visit Moldova; however, it is not necessarily as easy a place to get to as most other countries in Eastern Europe.
Be careful of scams when you go there, the best way is to contact your Embassy and talk with a consular officer. They will tell you what you need to know to avoid scams during your stay in Moldova.
You should arrange your accommodation yourself – don’t let the girl do it for you. The same goes for flights, etc.
You should try to meet your potential wife as soon as you can. Meeting someone online is a good way to break the ice but once you have broken it, you should meet her, see what she is like and how you get along.
This is done for several reasons:
- Make sure how she looks in person matches her pictures
- See if she has the right intentions towards you
- Waste as little of time as possible if you don’t think she is the right one for you
It’s important if you date a Moldovan woman that you treat them with respect. Eastern European women can still be quite challenging, and chivalry is still a big part of Moldovan culture.
As such if you meet a girl in person you should hold the door open for her, let her walk in first, etc. This applies not just to the girl you are with but also to any woman that you encounter in Moldova.
Make Sure Your Moldovan Girlfriend is Right for YOU!
When you are dating a Moldovan woman or meeting one online it’s very important that you are clear about what you want in a woman.
You should discuss each other’s personal philosophies towards family (if you want one) and what her desires are for the future.
If you are going to have a successful long-term relationship, it’s important that the two of you can come to an agreement about what you want to do together.
If you enjoy travelling, make sure you have a girl who also enjoys it and isn’t just interested in a home life.
Likewise, if you are ready to settle down somewhere (whether your own country or hers) it’s okay to discuss your plans for the future and where you see yourselves in 5 years.
Finding a woman who “gets you” and is in sync with your desires for life is one of the keys for a happy marriage.
Since Moldovan culture is different from your own culture, it’s good to be aware of how her culture has influenced her and what she is looking for in life.
As I mentioned before, most Moldovan women are quiet feminine and family oriented. They enjoy good European cuisine and can be excellent cooks.
The better you can both communicate what you want and understand each other’s viewpoints, the easier and happier your relationship will be.
The Strange History of Moldova
The reason that most people have never heard of Moldova is that it has spent most of its history being overrun by one of its more powerful neighbors.
But those powerful Eastern European nations, including the old Soviet Union, could never break the Moldovan’s sense that they were most French, Spanish, or Italian than Russian, Polish, or Ukrainian.
Yeah, it is odd. And a lot of Moldova girls tend to see themselves as a Latin people. That Latin heritage dates to the Roman occupation of Dacia (present-day Romania, Bulgaria, and Serbia) when a culture was formed from the intermingling of Roman colonists and the local population.
After a weakened Roman Empire withdrew its troops in A.D. 271, a number of groups passed through the area, often violently: Huns, Ostrogoths, and Antes.
The Bulgarian Empire, the Magyars, the Pechenegs, (whoever they were) and the Golden Horde (who certainly had a memorable nickname) also held sway over the area from time to time.
In the thirteenth century, Hungary expanded into the area and established a line of fortifications in Moldova.
Finally, an independent Moldovan principality was established in 1349. So, it obvious that Moldova girls had it pretty rough during those years and really things did not necessarily look up for another 700 years.
During the late 1400s, all of southeastern Europe came under increasing pressure from the Ottoman Empire, and Moldova succumbed to Ottoman power in 1512 and was a tributary state of the empire for the next 300 years.
Despite paying hefty tribute to the Ottoman Empire and eventually allowing the Ottoman sultan to select their rulers, Moldova suffered repeated invasions by Turks, Crimean Tatars, and Russians throughout the Ottoman period.
Worst of all the most beautiful Moldovan women sometimes ended up being taken to serve as harem girls for the Sultan and other Ottoman potentates.
Eventually, Moldova came under Russian rule, starting in 1792. They called it was known as Bessarabia in hopes that the Moldovans would forget they were Moldovans.
But the 19th century was pretty good for Moldova women. There were fewer wars, invasions, and plagues, and only a tiny chance that a beautiful Moldovan bride would be kidnapped and sold as a harem slave.
The 20th century was not so kind – not nearly so kind. The area was the scene of heavy fighting in World War I and during the Russian Civil War that followed.
From 1918 to 1939 to 1939 it was by Romania – which is the country Moldovan’s feel most attached to.
Then in 1939 – without asking Romania – Hitler surrendered the area to the Soviet Union in the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact just before the start of the Second World War.
Two years later in 1941 when Nazi Germany attacked the Soviet Union Romanian and German forces reconquered Bessarabia. In 1944 Soviet forces reconquered the area in some of the most savage fighting of the war.
After that Moldova remained a part of the Soviet Union until 1992. Throughout that period the area was a gigantic military base, because Soviet forces stationed there were within easy striking range of Romania, Hungry, Czechoslovakia, or Poland.
This little tidbit of Cold War military history is important, because as Moldovans were reasserting their unique cultural traditions and political independence a good number of the Russian’s living in the area, mostly soldiers and former solider, decided they did not want to be part of a newly independent Moldova.
There was a short civil war and that led to the area of Transnistria, where most of the military bases were located into becoming a semi-independent, though officially unrecognized state, Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
Why does all this matter for a guy looking for an Eastern European mail order bride? Because all of this tragic history is what is pushing even the smartest, sexiest, most accomplished women to leave the country.
