Margarita Recipe
The Margarita is one of the most popular cocktails in the USA, I’m really not sure if they drink them in the Ukraine where Vodka is the national drink. Maybe you can score some points by introducing the drink to your hot Ukraine bride.
There are three basic ways you can serve a Margarita: neat, on the rocks, or frozen. Here’s the recipe for the most popular version, on the rocks:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 1/2 oz triple sec or Cointreau
- A dash of lemon or lime juice. (For a combination of citrus flavors, mix half a shot each of lemon juice and lime juice)
- 3 oz sour mix
Preparation:
- Prepare the cocktail glass by rubbing lime juice all the way around the edge of the glass and place on a saucer of salt to achieve the salted rim effect.
- Add the Tequila, triple sec and lime juice into a cocktail shaker full of ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a cocktail glass with ice cubes.
- Garnish with the lime wedge.
