Costa Rican Beach Beauty

Imagine that, a widow at 20, with a five year-old daughter. How's that for having your world all set up and knocked over at such a young age? 

And you think you've had some problems? Well, I never fail to be amazed by the resiliency of these Costa Rican Ticas. Many of them have more grit before they're ten than some western women will acquire in a lifetime. Kind of reminds me of my Irish granny; she raised eight kids on her own after my grandfather died an early death.

And listen to the devoted mother Laura is: "I want to keep studying, to raise my daugther like it has to be, I want her to become a successful person". 

It's Christmas Eve as I write this review, and that maternal love from such a young girl brings a tear to my eye. And Laura's open to "Someone who is a good father, no matter how he looks, preferable age: from 40 to 55".
